Please respect the license under which this project is released. This is the OpenR/C Formula 1 car, third generation and simplicity-focused. Print everything in PLA except tires made from NinjaFlex! You can print it in any material you like but for those with only PLA on hand, this project is perfect. Documentation, not complete due to technical issues, is available here. Note: The servo saver is designed for PLA use; upper and lower components apply pressure similar to a conventional spring. Pressure depends on the type of material used, infill, etc. Fine tune by adding washers under or over the servo saver. The Main Turning Vane's lower part must be trimmed using an exacto knife. Slide it into the chassis plate and push it over the Lid; it should snap into place. Parts requiring support: Front Spoiler.stl Front.stl Rear Rim.stl Rear Wing.stl Servo Saver Lower.stl Things to buy: Obviously, you need some filament from your preferred supplier. You'll also require M3 screws and nuts available at your local hardware store. Check the BOM list for specific needs. Some bearings are necessary; check the BOM list or purchase a kit from FastEddyBearings.com Finally, you need electronics; here's what I got: ESC and motor combo, Battery, Micro Servo (not recommended), Transmitter and Receiver (cheap alternative). If new to R/C, a LiPo charger for the battery is essential. Ask in the Google + Community for recommendations. Rain tires designed by Thomas Palm are available here. Low profile rims & tires designed by Thomas Palm are available here.
