I printed out a customized cover for the connectors of my V9 GPS system using OpenPilot's innovative design. The LED lights are perfectly visible, even when they're blinking rapidly - I didn't have any issues at all with their visibility. The fit between the cover and my V9 is absolutely precise. However, depending on how tightly your 3D printer holds the tolerances for its printed components, you may need to do a bit of drilling to make sure everything fits together smoothly.
