This is a remixed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3612827 with one of its sources, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3809057 to retain all of SingularityGames other improvements while reverting to the original side mounted single barrel magnet design of MarcCCTx. I have literally printed and assembled well over a thousand of the official OpenLOCK Magnetic clips for my collection of tiles and walls. My experience with the official clip design has been full of difficulties due to the following: Once the magnets are in, the plastic area immediately around the magnet bulges slightly. This makes it very easy to break the relatively delicate clip supports in the base of each tile/wall The holes rarely come out perfectly shaped/clean, meaning assembly is tedious. Originally I tried cleaning up the hole with a pin vise drill (which often makes the hole too large, wrecking the clip or necessitating the use of glue to secure the magnets) but early on (read: after assembling a couple hundred clips) decided that press-fitting the magnets led to a better clip. I created a jig and used this for over a thousand clips, but it is a SLOW and tedious process The new triplex bases, while adding great flexibility to floor-plan design, are even more fragile This new design combines the dimensions and springy clip design of SingularityGames with the single 4mmx3mm barrel magnet holder of MarcCCTx. These clips: fit securely... yet... are easily removable when needed do not bulge around the magnet do not require any post-print cleanup snap together with a single magnet in seconds use the same 3mmx4mm barrel magnets as the original/official magnetic clips Always align the new magnet with the polarity of an already assembled magnetic clip.
