OpenForge is now a patron-supported project, and I use the resources my patrons give me to create more sophisticated tiles with greater detail. Support me, and I'll deliver an ongoing stream of awesome gaming terrain. You can find more about OpenForge and Masterwork Tools at our online catalog and backer site, website, forums (mostly on Facebook now), Twitter, or Facebook. To get started, you'll need a roll of 20-gauge copper wire cut to 2 1/2-inch lengths, a printed clip, wire cutters, needle-nose pliers, and a pin vice (optional). First, bend the tops of the wires to create contact terminals. If you don't have a pin vice, use a wire cutter to trim a 3-inch piece of wire and bend it into a handle. Then, use the wire cutters to sharpen the tip and use that as a drill. Next, put the pins through the clip, making sure the contacts extend slightly past the tips. Bend the wires on the other side of the clip so you can create contacts there too. Use needle-nose pliers to bend the wires back, trim them with wire cutters, and then squeeze them tight with the pliers.
