I have a defective "SimpleHuman 9oz liquid touch-free sensor pump". A screenshot of the website and the barcode at the bottom confirm that it is SKU ST1043. To open it, notice three grooves on the bottom. I created a custom tool to fit these grooves. When rotating them, it removes the soap container. Make sure to rinse it thoroughly before opening to remove all soap and let it dry completely. The big slot on the other side allows for using a table. Slide one side of the tool along the edge of a table, mate the other side with the bottom of the soap dispenser, and turn the soap dispenser. This provides a lot of torque with a small tool. Once the soap container is removed, you can push the upper part of the pump out (depress the on/off switch so it can slide out). With the pump disassembled, you can then remove the plastic part that contains the motor. It is glued to the perimeter near the top, requiring destructive entry... probably with a rotary tool, good luck. However, if you are careful, you can close the pump and reuse it after it's repaired. I have not yet diagnosed the issue of my pump. It no longer dispenses soap, does not charge, and only the blue LED works when turning on. I suspect the battery is dead so I will replace it with another 14500 protected li-ion cell.
