Openforge Stone Arch Doorway

OpenForge Summary ================ A doorway has finally arrived, designed to seamlessly integrate with Dwarven Forge dungeon tiles. To assemble, you'll need approximately 20 gauge wire or a thick paperclip. If using a paperclip, straighten it out, poke through the hole, then clip. Next, glue the door around the paperclip, utilizing it as a hinge. This Stone Doorway tile is compatible with other OpenForge tiles and walls in this series. You can find this set on GitHub. OpenForge Sets ============== * Smooth Tile Series: A collection of smooth tiles perfect for creating concrete, dirt, ice, or any other surface. * Smooth Edge Tile Series: Similar to the Smooth Tile Series, but designed with edges in mind. * Stone Tile Series: A series of stone tiles for a more rugged look. * Stone Edge Tile Series: Edge tiles that fit perfectly with the Stone Tile Series. * Crenelated Tile Series: Tiles featuring crenellations for added texture and detail. * Crenelated Edge Tile Series: Edges designed to match the Crenelated Tile Series. * Tudor Tile Series: Tiles inspired by the classic Tudor style. * Tudor Edge Tile Series: Edges that complement the Tudor Tile Series. * Ruined Series: A set of ruined stone walls for adding depth and history to your modules. * Accessories: Pillars, arches, and other decorative pieces to enhance your design. * Non-Series Tiles: Miscellaneous tiles, including the pool tile. * Module Specific Tiles: Tiles designed specifically for particular modules. Assembling the Doorway -------------------- To assemble the doorway, you'll need approximately 20 gauge wire or a thick paperclip. If using a paperclip, straighten it out and poke through the hole before clipping. Then, glue the door around the paperclip, utilizing it as a hinge. Painting Tips ------------- I strongly recommend painting your tiles before assembling them. For the doorway, I used a 4-layer approach: 1. Paint the entire piece black. 2. Heavily dry brush with dark grey to add depth and shadow. 3. Pick one other color (such as stone) and paint random stones on both sides of the door. 4. Dry brush with a mixture of grey and olive to create a weathered look. 5. Lightly dry brush with light grey, focusing most heavily on edges. For the doors: 1. Paint them black. 2. Heavily dry brush with dark brown to add warmth and texture. 3. Dry brush with lighter brown (like burnt umber) for a more subtle look. 4. Lightly dry brush with tan to create a sense of wear and tear. 5. Use steel or silver metal paint on the handles and bolts for added detail.
