OpenForge - Place of Power - Sundered Heartwood Tree
thingiverse
The Heartwood tree stood tall in the forest for over a thousand years, its roots forming a sacred glade until one fateful day an unknown power struck it down, devastating its entire trunk and leaving smoldering remains in its wake. The latent power that shattered the tree still lingers within, mingling with the power of the glade to create something entirely new. This is the latest installment of the "OpenForge - Places of Power" series, a collection of big scatter terrain pieces designed for use in both RPG and wargaming settings. The model prints as a single piece, requiring no supports. I printed it with 3 sidewalls/top layers and 10% infill, taking approximately 15 hours to complete. Expect to see more "Places of Power" in the future! UPDATE: A split version has been added for smaller print beds. To get started with OpenForge, visit our tutorials for instructions on how to begin. OpenForge is a patron-supported project, and the resources provided by patrons enable us to create more sophisticated tiles and models with greater detail.
