OpenForge 2.0 with flat top for glueing
thingiverse
I love the magnetic openforge 2.0 concept for dungeon tiles. However, I prefer to to have my magnets firmly embedded, so I modified the concept to rely on the "Pause at hight" feature of Cura (for example). Using it, I pause right before it'd close the magnet holes, insert them, and then continue the print. I intend to glue patterns made with air-dry clay rollers on top, so I wanted to increase the surface area of the magnetic bottom piece. The parts or 1 mm higher compared to the original to account for the roof closing the magnets holes. I removed the small holes underneath the magnet holes as well for easier printing. Also, for the solid ones, I left space for the connectors (see pic). Comes with options: - hollow / solid -> Whether the centre is filled. I prefer it since it increases stability IMHO - bevelled/standard -> optional 0.5 mm bevel on the outside to compensate elephants foot - ears / no ears -> more efficient brim
