After the initial release of Volcanic Caverns, I received a significant amount of feedback on them. I've revised them thoroughly. First and foremost, the pillars themselves are now significantly larger in size. This enables the texture to be more visible while also being much more realistic compared to sites like the Giant's Causeway. Secondly, the hexes are no longer uniform; they resemble real basalt columns, which are never perfect hexes. This effect is most noticeable when looking down at them from above.
