For a full year, I've been pondering why I'm not entirely sold on the common approach to caverns and one key aspect that's been weighing on me is that caverns should be able to branch off in any direction. This idea has been stuck in my head for a long time now, so I finally decided it was time to try tackling it from a different angle. With this set, I've introduced triangular floors - specifically 60-degree equilateral triangles. Each side is the same length as a standard tile, whether that's 2 inches, 3 inches or 4. This setup allows you to create hexes if you prefer, or combine them with square floor tiles to build a sprawling complex that expands in every direction. For guidance on getting started with OpenForge, I've put together a set of tutorials available here: https://github.com/devonjones/openforge-tutorials/blob/master/README.md. If you're interested in selling OpenForge prints or want to incorporate our designs into your product, be sure to check out the license FAQ at this link: https://github.com/devonjones/openforge-tutorials/blob/master/license.md. OpenForge is now a patron-supported project, and we rely on the resources provided by our patrons to create more advanced tiles with greater detail.
