OpenForge 2.0 Trap Door Construction Kit Parts

These are trap door floor parts for use in the OpenForge 2.0 Wall Construction Kit. Head there to learn how these should be utilized. I strongly advise printing the trapdoor with the upright file, as you'll get significantly better detail on the wood grain if it's printed along the z-axis. If new trap door floor sizes are created in the future, I'll update this thing with the corresponding pieces. OpenForge is now a patron-supported project. I use the resources provided by my patrons to generate the funds needed to create more advanced tiles with an increased level of detail. Please consider supporting me, and I'll deliver a continuous flow of outstanding gaming terrain. Post-Printing Assembly Underneath the floor tile, there's a recess for holding the hinge. Straighten and trim a paperclip to fit that recess, then slide it into the hole on the side of the trapdoor. Depending on your printer's bridging capabilities, you may need to use an xacto knife to clean up the recess and a drill or pin vice to clear out the hole in the trap door. Place the trapdoor in position within the floor tile, with the hinge running through it. Install any magnets you wish to use in the base. Use cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) to secure the floor to the base, trapping the hinge in place. Note: The metal hinge will attract the magnets, so you want to quickly slap the floor onto the base or it can create a bit of a mess.
