OpenForge 2.0 Stairs Up/Down

OpenForge 2.0 Stairs Up/Down

thingiverse

Created to complement OpenForge 2.0 Cut Stone and Flag Stone tiles, a human-made addition is designed to enhance this existing collection of digital designs. Below are representations of downstairs and upstairs tile concepts. The downstairs tile can be produced with a magnetic base or as an insert for another base. The stairs in these designs are currently untextured but may be added in the future. Printing the upstairs tile without supports is possible, though it results in a wavy print on the underside of the stairs near the edge. Users who have tested this design are encouraged to share their feedback and suggestions in the comments section below. Updates to this design include the addition of a "stairs straight up / cut stone" tile and a closer-to-scale version of circular upstairs tiles. A "straight stairs down" tile, with and without base, has also been added to match the existing designs. A wooden version of the "straight stairs down" tile with base is now available as well. The original designers of OpenForge deserve special credit for their innovative work, which makes it possible to create such digital designs. Devon Jones, a renowned designer, is acknowledged for his genius in creating this collection of designs. Happy printing!
