OpenForge 2.0 Smooth Stone Endcaps
thingiverse
A remix of [OpenForge Smooth Dead End Tile](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:241300) by [devonjones](https://www.thingiverse.com/devonjones/about), designed to be compatible with OpenForge 2.0. This project is part of a collection of OpenForge 2.0-compatible files, created by EvilOverlordX. OpenScad source code files are included, allowing you to modify these files to suit your needs. If you find this thing useful or any of the original OpenForge/OpenLock files helpful, please consider supporting [devonjones](https://www.thingiverse.com/devonjones/about) on Patreon. Scaling ====== The default scaling is 25mm, which is the same as OpenForge and OpenForge 2.0. You can change the scaling by editing the OpenScad source code files for each thing you want to modify. Simply replace all instances of *default()* with the scale you prefer: inch() for 1 inch (== 25.4mm) or wyloch() for Wyloch's scaling of 1.25". To generate half-height wall versions, edit the OpenScad source code file and change all instances of full_height() to half_height(). Then, generate the .stl files. Painting ====== The marble paint scheme was inspired by Raffa's painting tutorial on MassiveVoodoo. The tiles were printed with natural PLA and welded using dichloromethane. They were washed and primed in black using Vallejo black primer through an airbrush. A watered mixture of white craft paint, Vallejo Light Brown, and Vallejo Flat Flesh was applied in long strokes. While still wet, a second coat was added with the same mixture, this time with some Vallejo Black to create a medium gray. A third coat was applied with the original mix, using a smaller brush to add texture. Inclusions were painted in black with a fine brush in "lightning" patterns. The edges were darkened with watered-down Army Painter Strong Tone, and the whole thing was given a wash with watered-down Tamiya X-19 Smoke. Finally, the tiles were sealed with Vallejo gloss varnish through an airbrush.
