OpenForge 2.0 Plain OpenLOCK Magnetic Base

OpenForge bases now fully support the OpenLOCK system, allowing you to seamlessly integrate any OpenForge 2.0 internal tiles with this popular locking system. We're excited to announce that we've partnered with Printable Scenery and enthusiastically endorse this open standard for securing tiles. These plain bases can be used as a foundation under any tile and feature holes for the magnetic system if you prefer a hybrid approach. For 1x-sided bases, we had to make a decision between OpenLOCK and magnets; files labeled "magnetic_priority" prioritize magnet usage, while others opt for OpenLOCK. It's worth noting that OpenForge operates on a 50 mm basis, whereas OpenLOCK is based on inches. The difference on a 2x2 tile amounts to just 0.8 mm. Our bases adhere to the inch scale, but standard OpenForge tiles work perfectly fine on them. The size discrepancy is roughly equivalent to what you'd encounter with typical printing errors, making it practically unnoticeable when using metric tiles atop imperial bases. If you're concerned about this difference, simply print your x and y coordinates at a 1.016 scaling factor to align with the inch scale for the tile as well. For those new to OpenForge, we offer a comprehensive set of tutorials to get you started. As an added note, OpenForge is now a patron-supported project, allowing me to utilize the resources provided by my patrons to create more intricate tiles with enhanced detail. Your support enables me to deliver a continuous stream of exceptional gaming terrain.
