OpenForge 2.0 Plain OpenLOCK Base
thingiverse
OpenForge bases now fully support the OpenLOCK system. You can seamlessly integrate any OpenForge 2.0 internal 1x1, 2x1, 2x2, 2x4 and 4x4 tiles with the OpenLOCK system. We've had in-depth discussions with Printable Scenery and wholeheartedly endorse this open standard for locking tiles. This comprehensive set features plain bases that can be used as a foundation for virtually any tile imaginable. It's worth noting that OpenForge operates on a 50 mm basis, while OpenLOCK is based on inches. The difference between the two measures is only 0.8 mm on a 2x2 tile. To bridge this gap, these bases are designed with an inch-based system in mind, but standard OpenForge tiles work perfectly fine on them. The size discrepancy is roughly equivalent to printing errors, making it virtually undetectable when using metric tiles on top of imperial bases. If you do find the difference bothersome, simply scale your x and y coordinates by 1.016 to bring them into alignment with the inch-based system.
