OpenForge 2.0 Flatbed Mine Wagon

thingiverse

This is a remix of the original flatbed mine wagon I created using OpenLock components. The design was initially tailored to fit Melabam's OpenLock track, but I've updated it with new wheels and axle clamps to accommodate Devon Jones' OpenForge mine railway. The two versions share similarities, yet the OpenForge track is slightly narrower with a reduced gap between sleepers and rails. This revised design ensures the wheels will fit both tracks seamlessly. In contrast to many other mine carts available, these models are specifically designed to hold 28mm figures upright. While this may compromise realism, it greatly enhances their functionality as gaming pieces. The bodies and axle clamps can be printed without supports, but you might need to experiment with the wheel orientation to achieve optimal results. The wheels will likely require at least some supports, possibly necessitating additional clean-up, regardless of the print orientation chosen. You can find my original minecart design on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3831161, while Devon's OpenForge track is available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3944831 and Melabam's OpenLock track can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3654616.
