This is the beta release of the new Mini Openbuilds project, showcasing its latest iteration on my custom-built Mni 2.0 frame. I also have a mini 1.03 in house that awaits parts, with upcoming pictures and videos of its installation and operation. Expect this upgrade to fit all current variants of the Mini frame up to Mini 2.04, seamlessly integrating within the stock space claim of the existing mini bed while adding 1mm extra Z travel. It significantly increases rail stiffness and frame stiffness, enabling faster carriage movement. The wheels are lighter than the Igus bearing assembly blocks, thus slightly reducing mass from the bed. This upgrade caters to those seeking enhanced print speeds and minor quality improvements. Although the stock Mini rod span is short, it's unlikely to result in noticeable quality improvements, but users can potentially push their mini to 133mm/sec speeds in Y, with a similar increase once X-axis files are released. This may also improve quality for those printing small, high-detail items like figurines or jewelry on the Mini. Now drill 7.2mm and 5.0mm holes using specialty drill bits from McMaster Carr. Remount all the bed hardware and bolt everything together.
