OpenBuilds Slider Levelling Platform

This is a slider leveling base designed for use on an OpenBuilds V-Slot Gantry. Two bases are provided, one of which keeps the hinge point fixed. The Base - Fixed maintains a stationary position but restricts the angle to 90 degrees and requires two additional mounts to maintain stability. I have tested this configuration and found it suitable for mounting a camera and light ball head, but adding weight causes flexing. For added support, I plan to design a separate mount with a fixed rather than slotted location for the camera, which will provide increased stiffness when paired with bracing. Two side mounts are needed for stability, each requiring 10 M5 nuts available at http://amzn.to/1XLLVCs. Open Builds flat-headed M5 bolts and 1 1/4" x 20 TPI camera screws (http://amzn.to/1XLM3Cb) are also required. I am searching for thumb screws that fit without interfering with the gantry plate to avoid carrying an Allen wrench. The photos demonstrate the use of the Andoer Adapter Plate Square Clamp (http://amzn.to/1VKfTsV) and Fotga Universal Quick Release Plate L Bracket (http://amzn.to/1SnEk9C). Print settings used: - Printer: RepRap - Brand: Folgertech 2020 - Supports: Yes - Resolution: .3mm - Infill: 30% Notes: I printed these with eSun black PETG (http://amzn.to/1Qrcsz6), which exhibits stringy behavior. To mitigate this issue, I used support material in the channel for the base print.
