**2/13/2019 Update** I'm shifting my workflow from OpenSCAD to Fusion 360 and have reworked this design in Fusion. I've also uploaded four STL files starting with Nema23, which were generated using Fusion. I particularly like the taper extrudes on the honeycomb and the OPB1 file. To make these parts lightweight and flexible, I reduced the thickness to 1mm, allowing me to slice them with 0% infill or use spiral mode. Both methods worked well for me. This design covers the motor connections for OpenBuild machines featuring 49mm (40mm+9mm) extended motor mounts. I created it specifically for my Sphinx55 build's X/Y motor mount connections. A notch was added to clear M5 low-profile screw heads, but the OpenSCAD file allows you to adjust this feature or omit it entirely. You can also choose from three different logos, use a blank design, or customize your own logo in the code. I recommend printing **Sphinx_XY_MotorConnectCover_6mmHt_Test_Rev6.stl**, a short test print, to ensure a proper fit before proceeding. For this project, I used eSun PLA+ Light Blue, which offers a bit more flexibility than standard PLA. While PLA may also work, it's more prone to breaking. PETG should also be compatible with the design.
