This Thing consists of two spacers that join a pair of OpenBeams and OpenRails, forming a 15x40mm rail system. The recommended printing settings are at 0.2 layer height with ABS material and 100% fill. Optimal block length can be adjusted in the OpenSCAD code; 20mm is generally suitable. One pair of blocks should be used at every other OpenRail screw slot, with top blocks accommodating M3x10 screws and nuts, and bottom blocks accepting M3x5. The bottom block features a removable support for nut placement. Inserting the nut before attaching the block to the beams works best. The code includes that from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:45913, with uncommented lines displaying OpenBeamRailSlide blocks in relation to OpenBeams and OpenRails. A printed MakerSlide Lens Carriage (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12512) was used for testing but is not rigid enough for practical use.
