OPENBEAM Quick Nut Loader
thingiverse
OPENBEAM, a new aluminum extrusion design, eliminates costly T-nuts found in other extrusions by using M3-sized nuts and bolts readily available at low prices from most hardware stores. Despite being a micro-type extrusion, it may occasionally be challenging to insert the tiny M3 nuts; thus, Quick Nut Loader was created for easy 3D printing on a printer. The Protoneer Blog (http://blog.protoneer.co.nz) and Protoneer Shop (http://shop.protoneer.co.nz) provide more information. Initially, fitting the extrusion may be tight, but it will loosen up with use. To use Quick Nut Loader, insert nuts into the groove, then push them into the extrusion; performing this in batches is recommended. The UP! Plus 3D Printer printed this at 0.3mm layers and features a 10% solid design. Visit Protoneer Blog (http://blog.protoneer.co.nz) and Protoneer Shop (http://shop.protoneer.co.nz) for more details.
