OpenArchery: Viper Torque Ring
thingiverse
I completely agree that the Viper scope is my go-to choice, and for good reason - it's incredibly reliable. However, I have to say that the design around the outside of the scope to act as a "torque ring" is absolutely terrible. It's a major annoyance. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and made some adjustments. I designed the clip to attach inside the lens retainer and press against the scope itself. It may require a bit of finesse to get it in place at first, but once it's secure, you won't have any issues with it coming loose. I did experiment with using eight clips instead of four, but unfortunately, that design was a major failure - it cracked on my very first try. So, I've stuck with the original four-clip setup. If you're shooting with Viper scopes, I highly recommend giving this mod a shot. It makes aiming a whole lot easier and is definitely worth the extra effort. Just be sure to print it in a bright color so it stands out against your scope.
