OpenArchery: TrueCentre Scope

Wow I've been away for a while. To be honest, mechanical design is my day job and sometimes you just come back home and really don't want to jump back onto CAD, however this project has been on my mind for a while. Archery scopes for compound bows are incredibly expensive for what they are - a bit of metal that holds a lens! How innovative can you get? Well I leave that up to you, my beautiful downloader. Do you want to add some images to it? Go for faster stripes, print it in multi-color? Not print all of it? Build a custom shade? So here it is, finally. OpenArchery: TrueCentre Scope ==================== So many scopes on the market have lenses offset from mounting, I asked the question - why? If it's offset, if you twist the lens then you're moving the sight mark. Are you twisting it to the same place every time? It leads to inconsistencies and inconsistencies lead to less points. I don't know how much of an issue this is really, but it's something I've felt like - why can't I do that? The scope is fully modular and customizable. What a different color ring and retainer? Print it differently. Want a longer shade, modify it to be longer. Don't want a shade? Don't use one. I hope you like this as much as I do. Note: This is a first release just to get it out there and get feedback on any weak points that are causing issues. If your scope breaks on you, please drop me a message on my Facebook page with a photo of the break, an approximate arrow count would be great too so I know how much I need to stiffen it up and where. Designed as left-handed, please mirror all parts to print a right-handed version! ============== Includes the following sizes as standard: 29mm lenses 30mm lenses 31mm lenses 34mm lenses 38mm lenses 41mm lenses ### Additional Parts Required!
