The OpenAPS system tray is a compact powerhouse that houses an 18650 Lithium Ion battery for superior safety and longevity, a rapid Adafruit PowerBoost 10000 charger to keep you going, an Intel Edison with mini breakout board for lightning-fast performance, and a TI cc1111 programmable transmitter that lets you customize your setup. I've relied on JST-PH connectors extensively because they provide rock-solid connections, but feel free to use a standard ribbon cable between the Edison breakout board and the TI transmitter if you prefer. The assembled size of this impressive rig is 74mm x 58mm x 24mm, making it easy to take with you wherever you go. I'll be adapting the tray to hold an ERF transmitter as soon as time allows. The OpenAPS documentation and MMeowlink wiki contain everything you need to build your very own system tray rig!
