Openable Doors for Resident Evil 2 Board Game
thingiverse
I created these doors initially for use with the Resident Evil 2 board game to integrate seamlessly with the modular walls I designed. However, it soon occurred to me that others might prefer to utilize the doors independently of the walls. To accommodate this desire, I added some features to enable freestanding functionality and allow for "locked" cards to be placed on the door as desired. This modification can be implemented quickly, and its primary purpose is to provide a versatile solution for players who may not wish to commit to printing an extensive array of walls. By doing so, you'll have access to a crucial upgrade for your game without incurring the added expense or storage requirements associated with printing multiple sets of walls. I printed these doors using a 0.1 mm layer thickness and a 0.25 mm nozzle size. Although it's possible that some users may experience difficulties when attempting to open the doors due to specific layer sizes, I've found that both 0.1 and 0.2 mm layers work effectively (all gaps begin on even-numbered layers). As always, patrons at Patreon.com/VirtuallyJason can access the original .blend file for this model, which is included in the same zip file as the Wooden Plank walls.
