Open Top Cradle for GoPro Hero 4

This is by far the most intricate project I've designed from scratch. The primary motivation behind this creation was the frequent need to access the camera within GoPro mounts, which often involves opening doors or screws, leading to the disassembly of the entire rig just to retrieve footage or replace batteries. This solution eliminates that problem altogether. My inspiration for this design came from Devin at Make Anything, who developed a similar project for an older GoPro model. By removing the top and door, the GoPro can be effortlessly lifted out of the rig and reinserted as needed. One of the most appealing aspects of this design is its ability to maintain consistency in shots, especially when used with permanent rigs set up on 3D printers for time-lapse photography. The rig's back remains open for easy access to the screen on Hero 4 Silver models, while the side provides access to the micro SD card and allows for camera connectivity without removal. I'm extremely proud of this creation and would be grateful if anyone who builds one shares a photo in the "I made one!" tab.
