UPDATE 1.1: New design changes to the individual bells, i have decided to slim down the bells in an effort to reduce the material needed for printing each unit, the older bells have been moved to the "Mark_1point0" folder. These can be printed in the same way the thicker bells are printed.Mark_1point0UPDATE: the diaphragm retainer (Body10) had been fixed (the thickness was incorrect for the back cap) please use the Body10_Fixed.stl fileI am happy to present to you, the Open Tone Convertible 3/5 tone Mark 1. This is a convertible 5 tone / 3 tone Locomotive Air Horn. I decided to redesign the diaphragm assembly and voicing mechanism, as well as make the manifold, to make it much more reasonable to 3d print (the original had errors and was unreasonably huge). 3D print the horns with the diaphragm assembly facing down (horn bell flare facing up), in the slicer software adjust the supports overhang angle/threshold to the point where the supports, set to build plate only, will not get placed on the bell flare. For the 2 piece bells do the same for both parts. To print the manifold, print with the base on the build plate, utilizing supports on the build plate only. print the manifold extension wings in any flat orientation with supports on build plate only.Happy Printing (test video of my print coming soon)
