THIS IS NOT A FINAL PRODUCT, YOU SHOULD POST PROCESS AND SEAL THE MASK IN ORDER TO USE PROPERLY. I have modified this with an easier to print screw ring with nubs for easy grasping and have uploaded 2 versions of the screw ring and insert one is scaled down to 99% so if the full size one is too tight the scaled down version should fit easier. ABOUT THIS REMIX (Information copied from the original) This innovation was inspired by the scarcest product these days, the famous and scarce N95 masks. The global stock of this product has broken down, making it a basic necessity for Healthcare personnel who are at the forefront of fighting this disease. In many countries, authorities have recommended using these masks on public transport. Despite being effective, these masks also have some problems, such as a short lifecycle (about 8 hours), and a more serious problem - respiratory viruses can live up to 72 hours on different surfaces. NanoHack Mask is a last resort device designed to offer protection from airborne particles and prevent spreading liquid contaminating the airways. Published data has shown that the filtration materials used by NanoHack achieve a filtration efficiency of 96.4% for microorganisms of 1 micron and 89.5% for microorganisms of 0.02 microns. This project was created by the team at http://copper3d.com/. I am uploading it here because it's not available on Thingiverse yet. If Copper3D uploads it, I will remove this one graciously. THE OPEN SOURCE RESPIRATOR MASK ANTIMICROBIAL/ANTIVIRAL Manufactured with PLACTIVE an innovative Nanocomposite developed with a high-quality PLA and a patented, scientifically validated and highly effective Nano-Copper additive. FLAT PATTERN Facilitating manufacturing and transportation with massive shippings all over the world and inside countries. This will result in fused layers, stopping even water molecules that are 0.000282 µm. LAYERS - Layer height: .2mm. - First layer height: 0.25mm. - Perimeters: 2. - Avoid crossing perimeters: X. - Eternal Perimeters first: X. - Start end overlap: 140%. - Merge overlapping lines: X. - Expand thin walls: X. - Top solid layers: 9. - Bottom solid layers: 9. - Infill Fill density: 100%. - Infill type: lines. - Starting angle: 0. - Infill overlap: 0.9mm. - Fill thin gaps: X. - Speed infill: 20mm/s. - Top solid infill: 20mm/s. - Raft: 100%. - Inside perimeters: 20mm/s. - Outside perimeters: 20mm/s. - Support material: 20mm/s. - Bridges: 25mm/s. - Travel: 130mm/s. - First layer speed: 20mm/s. FILAMENT - PLACTIVETM: 1.75mm TEMPERATURES - Extruder temperature: 233°C. - Extruder wipe temperature: 0°C. RETRACTION - Speed: 70mm/s. EXTRUSION - Extrusion multiplier: 1.5. - First layer: 160%. - Outside perimeters: 160%. ASSEMBLY - Heat the NanoHack to 55º-60º C with a hairdryer or hot water. The circular part has to be intact, that's why it's thicker so that it doesn't deform. - When softening, bring together the nose wings and adjustment wings located on the lower jaw. You can glue them to fix them better if you want. - Heat it up again and put it on your face for final adjustments. Make sure it's not too hot! If you feel that there is some part of the mask that does not fit well or is too tight, you can put a small piece of soft rubber in the contact areas. - Screw the "cover" on with one or two additional filters. If you use a filter, you can use a circular piece (single or double) of a conventional mask (non-woven propylene) or add a round facial cotton pad for makeup. Half pad can make breathing easier. - Add the elastics/straps.
