Summary This mirror holder is specifically designed for optical experiments, and it's an integral component in the Open-source optics project. The primary goal of this project is to drastically cut down on the costs associated with scientific optical hardware - a mission led by Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group. Then, print it on your preferred open-source 3-D printer for immediate use. The mirror mount comprises three key components: a metal rod, a plastic base, and the actual mirror holder. The mirror holder itself is not open source - instead, it uses a commercial kinematic mirror mount from Thor Labs, known as the KM100. We're currently working on an open-source alternative.
