Summary Update 10/20/2014: A brand new STL for the head has been uploaded, and it's possible that the previous one was missing. The entire figure is currently being reviewed and updated to ensure its accuracy. Expect a fresh version within a few days. Update 4/19/2014: The hip connection has been enlarged by .5mm, which should provide a tighter fit for the joint. Update 4/4/2014: Realizing that an incorrect torso file was used led to immediate correction. As a result, arms and hips now fit ten times better than before, thanks to this fix. This is the latest version of open-source figures available for download. To avoid confusion, older versions have been deleted, and this model leaves them in the dust with its superior design and quality. This figure is truly revolutionary, boasting bomb-proof solid joints that are a world away from previous iterations. They feature a split for flexibility and come covered for added aesthetics. This model can easily be adapted to work with PLA or ABS materials. The latest version is optimized for ABS but can accommodate most other materials. Printing instructions: Print as usual and then sand down the ball joints if they're too tight. Open-source features include 4mm ball sockets that enable users to create their own accessories or make tweaks. Hands have 3.5mm holes, allowing secure attachment of round pegs with diameters around 3.4-3.5mm. Previous accessories should work seamlessly with this new figure. Feedback is welcome; please share your experiences with printing on different machines. Instructions: Print the hip joint at 100% fill as suggested by a maker. Everything else prints best at 10% infill, with walls of 4mm thickness and support material. The torso's inside joint benefits from being printed upside down.
