The device lets you build working heat exchangers by welding layers of plastic garbage bags together. It may seem counterintuitive, but our theoretical and experimental results show that this type of heat exchanger can be both efficient and very cheap. A project spearheaded by the Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group.
