Open Source Hardware Magnetic Pin
prusaprinters

Hi,
here is a magnetic pin with the open source hardware logo. There are two Neodymium Magnets in each of both parts, so you can easily connect both parts through a shirt, no needles that possible leave marks on high quality (button) shirts.

This could be actually used for any type of pin, flags, company logos, name plates, QR codes etc.

Feel free to leave me feedback in the comments and let me see your prints.

Design:

The Logo is taken from the official open source hardware association Homepage (Link below). I just removed the letters from the logo with inkscape and loaded it to Fusion360.

Print:

If you use my .3mf file, there is a print pause added , so you can insert both magnets at the same time and than resume the print. The orientation of the magneticpoles doesn't matter.

I am using 6x3 mm circular Neodymium magnets (6 mm is the Diameter, 3 mm is the height). If you have different sized magnets you can adjust the holes accordingly in Fusion.

Links

Open Source Hardware Logo:
https://www.oshwa.org/open-source-hardware-logo/

inkscape:
https://inkscape.org/de/

Print Settings

Resolution: 200

Infill: 20%
Filament: eryone PLA silk silver

Notes: printed on Pursa Mini, with print pause, using sclic3r Quality preset (see .3mf file)
