Open Source Disc Shooter
thingiverse
This revamped design of my previous open-source disc shooter project features nine various types of discs, each with unique hole configurations and beveling. The barrel is divided into two halves, accompanied by a firing pin with rubber band notches. The cap works with both long or short rubber bands. A sketch outlines the design, while future modifications may include a disc-loading mechanism. Upon printing and assembling, some issues were discovered, such as the firing pin jamming and the need for further testing with different disc types. OpenSCAD files are available to contribute ideas for handle attachment, firing pin improvements, and additional features like a magazine or trigger system. The mechanism could also be adapted for dart shooting, similar to Vik's design on Thingiverse.
