Human: designing custom wheels for the OPEN RC F1 project was a top priority. I sourced front and rear super light wheels that fit perfectly with the f104 tires. The tires had a slight stretch onto them, but they fit really nicely overall. These lightweight "super leggerra" wheels, as the Italians would say, are not designed to withstand rough impacts or bashing. I plan to test their durability on smooth asphalt and concrete surfaces in parking lots near my home. The Design Process I used Tinkercad for this project, a change of pace from my usual software, Fusion 360. I wanted to learn something new and discovered that Tinkercad is very easy to use for simple designs like this one.
