I fixed my RC car's "toes in" problem by creating these tie rod connectors, and they work great. To make them, you'll need an M3 x 30mm screw that has its head cut off and threaded clean. Simply wind the tie rods onto each end. As a starting point, I recommend making the distance from each hole the same as the original part you're replacing.
