Open R/C F1 Beefy Servo Saver
thingiverse
When I built my Open RC F1 race car using PETG, I encountered an issue with the supplied servo saver - it wouldn't stay engaged and would pop out very easily, leaving me with non-functional steering. I decided to modify Daniel Norée's original design by adjusting the engagement angle from approximately 45 degrees to a more robust 60 degrees. This tweak provides greater engagement while also allowing for the servo to disengage if the wheel encounters an obstacle, safeguarding the servo from damage. This modified servo saver is designed as a direct replacement for the standard servo saver, requiring no additional modifications or adjustments to your existing setup.
