An OpenSCAD script was created to produce the new Open Hardware Logo using parameters. The GitHub repository, clothbot/OSHW, contains this script. Updates have been made; on 2011/04/07, the 3D coin model was improved based on test prints and the .scad and .stl files were updated. On 2011/04/09, the gear_tooth_2d() function was simplified to a polygon. As for resources, DXF versions are available for use in Inkscape or other 2D vector editors, while STL files can be downloaded for a 1-inch diameter "coin." Additionally, OpenSCAD code is provided for users to modify as desired.
