Open Fire Cooking Tripod

Portable Cooking Tripod for Camping and Backyard Bonfires.I made it out of some gas pipe lines I had laying around. The design is based on a 60 degree inclination of the legs, with a tetrahedral design. All permanent joints are made by welding. The leg rods I pressed round so they fit into each other. The pin I used to keep the legs from coming apart comes from McMaster Carr, Zinc-Plated Steel Ring-Grip Quick-Release Pin 3/16" Diameter, 1" Usable Length (P/N 98320A010).You can use a chain with a hook at the end for your cooking needs, I installed a winch I found on Amazon to make it easier to lift and drop the dutch oven for stew.I designed and tested this tripod for more than a year and has not failed me.DO NOT LEAVE OUTSIDE, it will rust. Apply heat resistant paint to it so it will last longer. This was a fun project. If you have any questions, or suggestions please leave them in the comments.I hope this will help someone build their own tripods. Something sturdy and reliable.UPDATE!!!--------------STEP files are now available in the STEP_Files folder.
