This replaces the main bracket from Cheapus Maximus - Printed bed extension for the Monoprice Select Mini (MPSM) by dangerousderek. You will need to make two of them, one mirrored, as seen in the MIRROR tag in the file. I believe this design offers a slightly better strength-weight ratio and will give perhaps an extra centimeter of travel on the same rails. It also prints with no supports and is written in OpenSCAD, making it easy for you to adjust yourself. See dangerousderek's assembly instructions or drop me a line if you have any questions. The only major assembly change is that this design uses half as many square nuts, which I found easier to build and allows for a bit of extra travel. This version works perfectly with 300mm linear rails, giving 18-19cm travel. Longer rails will be fine, but they will stick through slightly. If you use shorter rails, you will need to adjust PLATE_SCRE_DISTANCE (I made a typo in the code), which is the position of the screw holes. If I were doing this again, I'd probably buy 350mm rails. This design could easily be adjusted to be 25mm longer and still print on the stock MPSM (the current height is under 100mm). This would give about 240mm travel. I used PLA and printed with - no supports - 5 top/bottom and 4x0.4mm walls (thin parts should be solid) - 30% gyroid infill PS: I'm tempted to call this "in progress" but I've been using it for a month or two now and probably won't get back to it again. On the plus side, that means it's working quite well.
