Open Cable Chain Reversed
thingiverse
I created this to accommodate all wiring and make it easy to swap out wires at any time. I wanted the chain in reverse, so I reversed the chain's direction. I happily incorporated the original Open Cable Chain Bidirectional by tehmaze from thingiverse.com/thing:1556918 into my design. Those lovely springs were a must-have as well. The Chainsupport is designed to fit snugly around an M5 bolt or threaded rod and rotates freely on it. The Chainmount is specifically crafted for use with V-slots, as seen in the picture. One drawback of this design is that it tends to wobble slightly sideways. Gently pulling it upwards with a rubber band effectively dampens this issue. It's incredibly easy to add or remove wires, but I'm still unsure if this is an improvement over the simple spiral wrap tube. The moving carriage isn't under too much strain, but the entire bundle could benefit from some additional support – perhaps another rubber band would do the trick.
