Open Beam Slider bar and Gripper
pinshape
This design allows two beams to slide by each other while keeping them constrained in parallel. A gripper is also used to lock the beams in position. The gripper is first fixed to one beam using 2x M3 screws, leaving the other beam free to slide. Then, a 3D printed screw tightens both beams into place. The original design aimed for an adjustable vertical OpenBeam structure. To achieve this, print the "Slider" bars in a vertical position without support structures. The "Gripper" body and/or screw should be printed in the recommended position, as shown in photos. Printing instructions include: - Using PLA - A 0.2mm resolution - No rafts or brims - Support only for the "Gripper" body Finishing instructions are: - Carefully removing the "Gripper" body support structure - Trimming any blobs - Completing the "Gripper" body side holes with a 3mm drill
