Open Battery Pack (OBP-1)
thingiverse
The following components are needed in order to assemble the schematics and secure the cover on the body: - 3 x 18650 Li Ion Batteries - BMS 3S Li-Ion charge controller - ACS-712 20A Current Sensor - 2 x Female Barrel DC Jacks - Step-Up DC-DC Converter - 2xSwitch - Resistor 220K - Resistor 470K - 4 x M4 threaded rivets - 4 x M4x20 screws OBP-1 is a universal power source that suites well for robotic applications, R&D and DIY projects. Unlike most of the power banks it has the high-current output to power-up the DC motors, and the stabilised output to power the computational and control schemes. OBP-1 allows to be charged while still supplying the output voltage, that helps to create the hardware solutions that needs to stay powered while the charging is performed, like robots, laptops, solar-powered sensors etc. OBP-1 uses Arduino UNO to estimate the battery charge level and programmatically access it through USB serial interface.
