The ongoing project features a six-wheel-drive robot platform, specifically designed for Dynamixel AX-12A smart servos. Its multiple degrees of freedom, facilitated by independently controlled wheels, active suspension, and steerable front and rear axles, enable versatile mobility on rough and loose terrain. The design is compatible with 1DOF and 2DOF joysticks for control and can also accommodate a 5DOF robot arm. For driving instructions, refer to the code files provided for the 5DOF robot arm. This particular page serves as a summary; visit the main page for more comprehensive details about the design. As part of the Open Academic Robot Kit initiative, this design aims to lower the entry barrier to engaging robotics by utilizing parts that can either be 3D printed or sourced off-the-shelf from various locations worldwide. The designs are licensed under CC(BY-SA), and the essential software required for demonstrating basic robot capabilities is open source.
