26.9.2018 UPDATE: I added an insert with a wider neck to make USB cable manipulation easier, and it works much better now. I used thin fabric that feels like velvet and glued it all around the print. This made it exactly the right diameter to fit perfectly into the armrest! I hope this will help you guys out! Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------- I decided to make my Astra K's deep and very useless armrest a bit more practical. I designed a shelf that fits on top and holds its shape in place. You can still use the bottom part of the armrest for less frequently used items. The shelf has a hole for a USB cable, an insert that prevents it from sliding back down, and compartments tailored to my specific needs: - Small gas station WC vouchers - A USB stick - Glasses cloth - Coins compartment(s) - Universal compartment !!! The size is okay, but the shelf tends to slip down about 0.5 - 1 cm from the top edge of the armrest. To make a better fit, you can try slightly resizing it or do what I'm planning: glue a thin soft cloth on the outside part of the shelf to prevent scratches and ensure a perfect fit. I'm also planning to use Aceton vapor to smooth it out - hopefully, it won't mess up 7 hours of print time!
