A common issue with OPEL Corsa D is a broken vent grill. The horizontal adjustment fails to work, and fins get stuck. Upon investigation, I discovered that there are primarily two root causes for this: 1) The vertical fins become stuck due to high friction (caused by dirt, lubricant leaks, etc.) with the vent case, making rotation extremely difficult. 2) The holder of the vertical fins knob is cracked. This disrupts the moving mechanism of the vertical fins, resulting in a loss of mechanical contact and rendering them immovable. To resolve this issue, I took the following steps: - I thoroughly cleaned the vent grill to remove dirt and old lubricant. - I enlarged the holes where the vertical fins are fixed by 0.2 mm (both top and bottom) to improve rotation ease. - I installed a fixing mechanism for the fins' rotating mechanism to secure mechanical contact, as illustrated in the attached .stl file. - The fixing piece is secured using an M3 screw; you will need to drill a 3.5 mm hole in the vent grill case, as shown in the pictures. - Lubricating the mechanism completes the fix!
