Opel Corsa C Parcel Shelf Hinge Repair

I broke the hinge on my Opel Corsa C parcel shelf and swiftly created a replacement. It was originally engineered with the longer, thinner side inserted into the hole, followed by a strong adhesive bonding it in place. However, I discovered that this design was too loose for me, so I opted to try the opposite side instead. This proved to be a much tighter fit, although it required some gentle hammering to secure it properly. Fortunately, my new parcel shelf is holding remarkably well and appears unlikely to come loose anytime soon. The addition of a skirt in the middle also ensures that it won't topple over even when subjected to excessive movement. While I'm uncertain whether this design will be compatible with other vehicles, I suspect it may suit cars like the Tigra Twintop, Vectra H/G, or Astra H/G with similar parcel shelf configurations.
