Opel Agila key
thingiverse
So my mum broke her Opel Agila key. Looking inside, I couldn't resist designing a new and better cover for her key! Here's what I came up with if you need it. To assemble the new key cover, simply remove the old car key, take out the three components (the key itself, the RFID chip for immobilizer, and the round radio controller), and place them in your newly printed cover. Close it up with two small screws. Unfortunately, I don't know what type of screw you'll need because I used two that I had on hand, but they're pretty common. You'll need to find one that matches the thread of the original key since the inside hole of the key's housing is threaded. Print Settings: Printer: New Matter MOD-t Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm per layer Infill: 100% Notes: Print both pieces with the flat side down to ensure a print without supports. Post-Printing Assembly Instructions: Place the bottom cover on a flat surface and put the components inside it, just like you see in the third picture. Next, place the upper cover on top of the bottom cover and press down firmly while screwing in the lower screw (the one that goes into the key's housing). Then, you can insert the upper screw. To shorten my screws, I simply screwed them into the key's hole, cut them to length, unscrewed them to restore the thread on the cut end.
