Opacity test angle

Opacity test angle

I use this tool to test material opacity across flat and vertical planes when printing items that demand opacity, such as Schlem's terrapin pinhole camera. It is 3mm thick with two circular indentations on each face - one is 1mm deep while the other reaches 2mm in depth. Shine a bright LED flashlight against the face; if any glow appears, it means you won't achieve light tightness at your current infill percentage. Increase this setting and print again. Print Settings: Printer Brand: CEL Printer: Robox Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm (normal mode) Infill: Set as needed for testing. Notes: Print with various infill percentages to test the light tightness of your extruded filament.
