The OOTB, or 'out-of-the-box' card reader, is a device designed to facilitate innovative yet practical ideas. It features a handheld NFC signal receiver that transmits data via Bluetooth. Crafted from three injection-molded parts and a protective rubber band, this device doesn't require any screws for assembly and houses a replaceable battery in its lower section. A unique selling point is its wearability; it can be hung around the neck for convenient use when desks or supports are unavailable. The OOTB also includes a docking station made of two injection-molded parts and two rubber 'sponges' to secure the reader in place. This versatile station can be wall-mounted using a hole and specific hook, and is assembled with four tapping screws. The product's wide plastic surfaces allow for customization through Campus logos or other decals. A comprehensive list of specifications is provided in accompanying tables.
