OO Scale Working Semaphore Signals

OO Scale Working Semaphore Signals

thingiverse

These are simplified working models of basic GWR semaphore signals in OO scale, designed for ease of assembly and operation at the expense of some detail and accuracy. They can be driven by Cobalt, Tortoise or servo motors mounted discreetly under the layout. The primary model is a generic GWR-type lower quadrant, wooden post semaphore signal with one or two arms, while left and/or right brackets with one arm can also be added for versatility. STL files for all variations are included in the accompanying .zip file, along with a separate file containing alternative arms to convert the signals to upper quadrant. Built from ABS on a FlashForge CreatorPro without supports or rafts, the models should be constructed at low resolution (0.30mm) for speed and strength, while the arms require high resolution (0.12mm) for detailed accuracy. Assembly instructions are included in the .zip file, with only one extra component required: one or more lengths of 0.5mm brass wire/rod, readily available from hobby shops.
